Another Michel Crete creation, this theater was designed and built to house a Cirque du Soleil production. At the same time, it was meant to be an arena for big name entertainers, such as Celine Dion, who opened this theater to the public in 1999. In order to satisfy the enchantment needs of the Cirque troupe yet be neutral enough to provide a non-competitive background for singular stars, Michel asked for a look that combined a watery ocean with deep outer space.
