Because of a limited budget, Karen and Chara planned to paint this ceiling without assistance from other team members. When they arrived at the site, the ceiling was not fully prepared, and as the schedule was already tight, there was great concern about whether the work could be finished in the time remaining. Karen and Chara worked a long day and into the night. Then, in the wee hours of the morning, with much more painting left to complete, a true miracle occurred. Swami Ji, the guru and master of the temple facility, appeared. His mood was joyous and optimistic; he laughed as he looked into the two women's eyes and touched one on the forehead and the other on the nose. Five minutes later, he was gone, and within the next few hours, Karen and Chara completed a beautiful sky that would normally have taken four times as long to paint.
