Jennifer Callender is the sole theater artist
working with a band of visual artists, and therefore has a unique
position from which to view and interact with each member of the
current SKY ART team.
As a child, Jennifer divided her time between her birthplace,
New Mexico, and Connecticut, where her family moved when she was
seven. The third of four girls, she spent much of her younger
years outside, exploring the woods of the East or the mountains
of the West. As she grew older, Jennifer's love of adventure and
led her to travel, first throughout the United States, then in
Europe.
This drive for new experiences first drew Jennifer to the arena
of theater. A desire to work in this field she'd grown to love
led her to performance studies and culminated in her graduation
from the University of Colorado at Denver with a Bachelor's degree
in Theater. A former resident of the Boston and Los Angeles areas,
Jennifer currently lives in Denver where she continues to act
and work in theater. Her long-term goal is to use her theater
and acting talents to work in the community.
In June of 2003, Jennifer joined the SKY ART Karen Kristin team
for the Argosy Casino project. Working mainly as Karen's assistant
and office manager, she is occasionally seen onsite, but primarily
fills the "behind the scenes" position.
