Like most turn-of-the-century Victorian houses, Karen's remodeled home has small rooms with detailed moldings. In order to enlarge the feeling of the living and dining rooms, she painted a sky that progresses from early morning at the eastern side of the living room through a midday blue sky as it approaches the dining room to the west. Then, as the design enters the dining room, her choice of colors shifts into sunny late afternoon hues and on into the tones of an evening sunset.
