Theaters. Even the saying of the word and the sound that it generates are filled with magic and mystery. Whether it is the entrance area for a cinema, such as for the Station Casino movie theaters, or the vast overhead fantasy for the showroom itself, such with as the Cirque du Soleil theaters, these venues offer real opportunities to simply get creative.

The Cirque project at Treasure Island was by far the most complex SKY ART has ever undertaken. The on-site process for this 80 foot tall ceiling involved painting on enormous curved ceiling panels, first a vast background like an ocean of parchment, then wide black borders to define each section. The sailing ships and compass designs, which had been earlier painted on canvas at the SKY ART studio in Denver, were brought in, cut out, and applied to the ceiling like wallpaper. Finally, using a laser beam for bearing, the compass lines were drawn.
